A community of hope, healing, and accountability.

For many years, those of us serving life without parole carried heavy shame, guilt, and regret. We hurt others, we hurt families, and we hurt ourselves. No matter how hard we tried to hide from it, the weight never went away. At some point, we had to stop running from the past and start facing it.

That is where Lives Worthy of Purpose was born. It is a space created by inmates for inmates, a place where we hold ourselves accountable and work toward real change. Here, we share our stories, learn from one another, and build strength through faith, recovery, and honest reflection.

What we do together:

  • Heal from old wounds and broken ways of thinking.

  • Take ownership of the harm we caused.

  • Choose to live with hope, love, and faith even with a life sentence.

  • Give back in every way we can to honor the victims and survivors of crime

We are no longer just inmates serving life without parole. We are people choosing to live Lives Worthy of Purpose.

This group exists in honor of all victims and survivors.

"We are committed to proving that lives can change, and that redemption and purpose are always possible."

- Marcos Cardenas
